Why managed access suits a classic
Unrestricted self-service storage means constant movement: shutters open, vehicles manoeuvring, strangers walking past your car. We arrange access in advance instead. Fewer people through the building means fewer opportunities for damage and a genuinely quiet environment. You can still have the car whenever you want it — you tell us, and it is ready.
Winter and long-term storage
The most common reason a classic comes to us is salt, damp and six months of weather it was never designed for. Cars commonly arrive in autumn and leave in spring, though nothing is seasonal by rule — storage periods are agreed individually rather than fixed to a term.
Projects, inheritances and cars in limbo
Not every classic in storage is a finished car. We store project vehicles waiting on parts, time or a decision, cars inherited by owners not yet sure what happens next, and cars parked mid-restoration while a workshop slot comes free. None of that is unusual to us.

Before you enquireDo you store cars over winter only?
Winter storage is the most common reason a classic arrives, but the Archive is set up for medium and longer stays generally.
Storage periods are agreed with you individually rather than fixed to a rigid minimum term.
Will the car be started or moved while stored?
Any handling arrangements are agreed before storage begins and recorded against your vehicle account.
Nothing happens to your car that you have not agreed to — and if you would rather it simply sat untouched, that is a perfectly good answer.
Can you collect the car from me?
Yes. Protected collection and return can be arranged for suitable vehicles, including non-runners and cars that are off the road.
